JunkJumper
A downloadable game
This is JunkJumper! A game originally made for the 39th Mini Jame Gam contest by a solo developer in just 2 days with the theme 'Don't get surrounded'. Sadly, there were difficulties with submitting the game to the jam but let's look past that. A short game where you avoid falling dangers and shoot open gates to obtain a plethora (there's only one) of trashy upgrades and scale the unfathomably deep (it's not that deep) Junk Pit to escape!
Information before playing:
Of course a game made in only 2 days will have many desirable but non-existent features but we hope you enjoy it regardless!
And when I say we, I mean me... it gets lonely in the Junk Pit.
Also, you can shoot the gates to open them, it takes a couple shots though. They were made well.
Controls:
- W, A, S, D and S pace to MOVE
- MOUSE to LOOK
- LEFT MOUSE BUTTON to SHOOT
- LEFT SHIFT to SPRINT
--WARNING--
In the event where you are trapped within a pile of junk and cannot move, we highly encourage you to remain calm and wait for another pile of junk to land on top of you while rapidly spamming F along with all other inputs until you free yourself from your binds. (yes, this is a feature.)
And lastly, thank you for playing my first ever published game and I hope you enjoy it!
*All assets were modelled and painted by hand in the span of the 2 days*
*I also made the music. The repetitive bars of noise.. yeah, all me.*

This game looks cool, I really appreciate that all assets were made by you, there are amazing. It is really a shame that you didn't make it in time.
From the technical side, please turn the v-sync, because the screen tearing is pretty annoying.
Hey! Thanks for the great feedback. Will definitely add in V-sync for the next update.
This is a mix of modern graphics and retro arcade game style play. And somehow, it works. Aside from a few issues (FPS drops, wonky glitches), everything feels right. Design, visuals, music. Quick to learn. Original idea. Solid game. Would love to see a polished version.
Thank you very much! Amazing feedback. Optimization and game feel is at the top of our priorities. There is a lot planned for future updates.
